 2. Introducing App related to Subject

Chemlab is an interactive digital learning application designed to support students in understanding basic chemistry concepts through virtual experiments. The app includes clear simulations, colourful visuals, and user-friendly tools that allow students to observe chemical reactions safely. Its key features include virtual lab experiments, 3D models, step-by-step procedures, instant feedback, and self-assessment quizzes that help learners reinforce concepts. Chemlab also provides error-free repetition of experiments, enabling students to practice as many times as needed without the limitations of physical lab materials.

I introduced the Chemlab app to the students of Class 8 A by first explaining its purpose and how it can make learning chemistry more engaging and practical. I demonstrated the app on the smart board, showing them the menu, experiment options, and safety features. After the demonstration, students were guided to access the app on their devices in pairs. I gave them a simple experiment to try—observing changes during a chemical reaction—and instructed them on how to record their observations. The students enthusiastically explored the virtual lab, followed the procedures, and understood the concepts through hands-on digital practice. This practical exposure helped them develop confidence in using technology for science learning

4. ICT related Competitions in Collaboration with school

As part of the Ozone Day celebration, a digital poster was prepared to spread awareness about protecting the ozone layer. The poster was designed using simple graphic tools with a clean layout, bright colours, and meaningful illustrations. Key elements such as the date (September 16), theme, importance of the ozone layer, harmful effects of UV rays, and eco-friendly messages were included. Relevant symbols—like the Earth, ozone shield, and eco-friendly icons—were added to make the poster visually appealing and informative. The final poster was exported in high quality and shared on the school notice board, WhatsApp groups, and digital

platforms to reach all students.

The Ozone Day digital poster-making competition was conducted in a systematic and student-friendly manner. Students were first introduced to the significance of Ozone Day and the need to protect the ozone layer. Instructions regarding the theme, time limit, rules, and judging criteria were explained clearly. Participants used mobile phones, tablets, or computers to design their posters using digital drawing apps and graphic tools. Teachers supervised the activity, provided technical support, and ensured smooth participation. After the allotted time, posters were submitted digitally and evaluated based on creativity, clarity of message, design quality, theme relevance, and originality. Winners were announced, and all participants were appreciated for their active involvement in promoting environmental awareness.

2.Introducing an App related to Subject

Stellarium is a powerful and user-friendly virtual planetarium software that shows a realistic 3D view of the night sky. It allows users to observe stars, planets, constellations, satellites, and other celestial objects exactly as they appear from any location on Earth. The app displays the sky in real time and also provides options to change the date and time to see how celestial bodies move across the sky. Stellarium includes features such as constellation names, lines, artistic illustrations, zooming functions, and detailed information about planets and stars. It is widely used by teachers, students, and astronomy enthusiasts because it helps in learning sky patterns without a telescope. With its clear visuals and interactive tools, Stellarium makes the study of astronomy easy, engaging, and accessible to students of all levels

During my internship at SDVHS Peramangalam, I introduced the Stellarium App to the students of Class 7 as part of ICT-integrated teaching. Stellarium is a virtual planetarium that displays a realistic view of the night sky, including stars, planets, and constellations. To begin the session, I projected the app on the classroom smartboard and explained its major features such as real-time sky view, location setting, constellation lines, and the time-control option. I demonstrated how the sky changes with direction and time, and showed the students how to identify constellations like Orion and Ursa Major. I also used the search tool to zoom in on planets such as Jupiter and Saturn, which created great excitement among the students. They actively participated by identifying bright stars and observing the movement of celestial bodies. The demonstration helped the students understand astronomical concepts in a simple, visual and engaging manner, making the learning experience more meaningful and enjoyable.

4. ICT related Competitions in Collaboration with school

As part of the Chandrayaan Day celebrations at SDVHS Peramangalam, a Digital Poster Making Competition was organized to promote scientific awareness and creativity among students. The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Science Club, and student teachers coordinated the event as part of their internship activities. The main objective of the competition was to familiarise students with India’s Chandrayaan missions while enabling them to use ICT tools effectively for visual communication.

Before the competition, a brief orientation was given to students on how to design digital posters using tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides, and simple mobile-friendly apps. Students were encouraged to focus on themes such as Chandrayaan-1 discoveries, Chandrayaan-2 orbiter features, Chandrayaan-3 soft landing, ISRO’s achievements, and India’s growing role in space exploration. The guidance helped students understand layout, colour selection, font usage, and how to include scientific facts in a visually appealing manner.

The participation from students was highly enthusiastic. Many digital posters showcased innovative designs, accurate scientific information, attractive graphics, and motivational captions like “Pride of India,” “Touching the Moon,” and “Science Beyond Limits.” Student teachers evaluated the posters based on creativity, clarity of content, ICT skills, scientific accuracy, and overall presentation. The best posters were displayed on the classroom notice board and appreciated during the Chandrayaan Day programme.

The competition successfully blended technology with science education, making the day more meaningful and inspiring for students. It helped them understand India’s lunar mission achievements while enhancing their digital literacy and creative expression.
